Nicholas “Nick” Joel Baker, age 22, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital as the result of an ATV accident.

Nicholas was born on December 22, 1994 in Franklin, Ind. to Rickie Lee Baker Jr. and Wendy Iris Johanne Shaw Baker.  He graduated from Whiteland Community High School in 2013 in Whiteland, Ind.  He was raised in Whiteland and Mooresville, Ind. and moved to Somerset to be near his mom in May of this year.

He is survived by father, Rickie Baker Jr. (and Vivian) of Mooresville, Ind.; his mother, Wendy Baker (and Jeff Spruill) of the Dahl community; a sister, Caitlyn Baker of Mooresville, Ind.; two step-sisters, Ashley Spruill and Katie Spruill; maternal grandparents, Linda (and John) Stevens of Greenwood, Ind. and Derek (and Cynthia) Shaw of Tomahawk, Wisc.; great grandmother, Jean Jones of England; paternal grandparents, Lilly (and Gary) Henson of FL, Rickie Baker Sr. of Martinsville, Ind., Judy Price of Greenwood, Ind., Johnny B. (and Jayme) Spruill of Franklin, Ind., Bill (and Christina) Jackson of Mooresville, Ind. and Elva Baker of Martinsville, Ind.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robbie Baker.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Bullock officiating.  Burial will be at Catron Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Zack Long, Austin O’Conner, Clay Hampton, Shawn Johnson, Jeff Spruill, Dave Bond, Chance Fleenor and Jaylyn McDaniel.
