Ida “Irene” Lou Nolan, age 88, of The Highlands in Somerset, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Cumberland Health and Rehab.

Ida was born on February 24, 1929 in Faubush, KY to the late Ernest Weddle and Tillie Jane Foster Weddle.  She loved to read and attended Duke Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Nolan; two brothers, Ronald Weddle (and Sheila) and Roy Weddle (and Jean Ping); three grandchildren, Dawn Michelle (and Rick) Carson, William Richard (and Heather) Nolan and Robert Douglas (and Lydia) Nolan; four great grandchildren, Sophia Nolan, Lillie Nolan, Ricky Douglas (and Tabetha) Carson, Kiersten Marcella Carson (and Jason Wilson); and one great-great granddaughter, Ella Carson.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nolan, who preceded her on September 29, 2002; a son, Danny Nolan; a daughter, Doris Faye Nolan; and two brothers, Carter Weddle and Carson Weddle.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 1:00pm at Grays Chapel Cemetery in Nancy, KY.  Bro. Gilbert Robinson will officiate the service.
